🚆 Getting to Citi Field
Take the 7 train to Mets-Willets Point — it drops you steps from Citi Field and is the definitive way to reach a Mets game.
The 7 train serves Mets-Willets Point station, a short walk from the gates, with direct service from Manhattan stops including Times Square, Fifth Avenue and Grand Central, and game-day 7 Express service cuts travel time. The LIRR Port Washington Branch also stops at Mets-Willets Point on game days, with direct service from Penn Station and Grand Central Madison. The Q48 bus serves the area from Queens.
Drivers reach the park via the Grand Central Parkway (Exit 9P or 9E) or the Whitestone Expressway (Exit 13D), following signs for Citi Field. Official surface lots surround the stadium and advance-purchase parking is available through the team, which is cheaper than buying on the day and recommended because the general lots fill up quickly.
The Mets' published directions recommend using Mets-Willets Point Station as the rideshare drop-off location, which drops you right under the subway by the park.

🎟️ Game-day tips for Citi Field
Enter through the Jackie Robinson Rotunda even if your seats are elsewhere — it is one of the great ballpark arrivals in baseball.
- Start at the Jackie Robinson Rotunda — The main entrance behind home plate is a soaring rotunda honoring Jackie Robinson, lined with his words and a timeline of his career, beneath the Ebbets Field-inspired brick facade. The Tom Seaver statue stands outside the main entrance.
- Watch for the Home Run Apple — When a Met homers, a giant red apple rises from its top hat beyond the center-field wall, a tradition carried over from Shea Stadium. Outfield sections and the Shea Bridge walkway give you the closest look at it popping up.
- Pick shade on the Excelsior Level for day games — Excelsior Level infield sections 310-325 sit elevated with a clean, centered view, and the Promenade deck above covers nearly the entire infield, giving reliable shade for afternoon games. On the Field Level, the third-base side is the documented pick for shade at a day game.
