🚆 Getting to Coors Field
Take RTD rail to Union Station and walk — Coors Field sits in walkable LoDo, so transit beats downtown parking for most visitors.
RTD light rail and commuter rail converge at Denver Union Station, about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the ballpark through LoDo. The commuter A Line runs from Denver International Airport to Union Station, and the E and W light rail lines also stop there. Note that RTD's downtown rail reconstruction has modified some downtown lines, so check current RTD service before you go.
The Rockies operate official Lots A and B near the ballpark, roughly a 10-minute walk, with advance parking available through the club and limited day-of-game parking in Lot B when advance passes sell out. Lots open 2.5 hours before first pitch. The primary driving exit is Park Ave. West off I-25, which is also reachable from I-70 and I-76, and numerous independent LoDo garages and surface lots surround the stadium.
Coors Field has two Uber pick-up and drop-off areas — check the club's current guide for the up-to-date locations.
🛏️ Where to stay near Coors Field
Most visiting fans stay in LoDo or elsewhere downtown, where the ballpark, Union Station, and the restaurant and bar scene are all an easy walk.
- LoDo (Lower Downtown) — The ballpark's own neighborhood and Denver's oldest — a walkable, lively area of historic warehouses packed with bars, restaurants, and breweries along Blake Street, plus McGregor Square right across 20th Street from the park.
- Downtown Denver / Union Station — Staying near the 1914 Union Station transit hub puts every RTD line, including the airport A Line, at your door, with a short walk northeast to the ballpark.
- RiNo (River North Art District) — Just a short walk or ride north of the stadium, known for colorful street art, craft breweries, and a trendy late-night food scene — livelier and more artsy than the downtown core.
🎟️ Game-day tips for Coors Field
Get there early enough to do a full lap — the Rooftop, the purple mile-high row, and the mountain sunset are the Coors Field experience, not just the game.
- The Rooftop in right field — The Rooftop is a large standing-room area above right field open to anyone with a ticket, with bars and restaurants and panoramic views of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains.
- Find the purple row — A single row of purple seats circling the upper deck marks exactly 5,280 feet — one mile — above sea level. For sunset mountain views, Visit Denver points to the upper deck along the first-base line.
- Shade vs. sun — For shade, choose seats on the third-base side or the club level; the first-base side is the sunny side and the pick for watching the sun set over the peaks. At a mile high, dress in layers and expect stronger sun.
Bags: Only soft-sided, single-pocket bags no larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches are permitted, and backpacks and other multi-pocket bags are prohibited. Official policy.
