🚆 Getting to Globe Life Field
Driving is the way here — Arlington has no rail or regular bus service to the ballpark, so most fans drive to the Entertainment District lots or use rideshare or a hotel trolley.
There is no direct public transit connection to Globe Life Field, and Arlington has no city rail system. The closest rail is the Trinity Railway Express at CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, several miles away, so you still need a car, rideshare, or the city on-demand service for the last leg. Guests at participating Entertainment District hotels can use the Arlington Trolley, which provides complimentary shuttle service to the stadiums on event days.
The ballpark is surrounded by official lots in the Entertainment District, all of them cashless — pay by credit card or through the MLB Ballpark app. Lots open 2.5 hours before first pitch for night games and two hours before afternoon games, closer lots sit near Texas Live!, and Lot D handles buses and RVs. Most traffic funnels in via Interstate 30 or Highway 360.
Rideshare pickup and drop-off is on Chapmans Cutoff, south of the corner of Randol Mill Road and Stadium Drive — do not request a ride on Randol Mill Road after games.
🛏️ Where to stay near Globe Life Field
Most visiting fans stay right in the Arlington Entertainment District and walk, because there is no transit alternative; everyone else bases in Dallas or Fort Worth and drives in.
- Arlington Entertainment District — The only walkable base: Globe Life Field, AT&T Stadium, and the Texas Live! dining and bars complex sit within a few blocks of each other and the district hotels, and the Arlington Trolley loops participating hotels on event days.
- Dallas — A full downtown hotel and nightlife base east of Arlington, but game day is a drive or rideshare back on I-30 — there is no rail link to the ballpark.
- Fort Worth — The western Metroplex base, reached the same way as Dallas: drive I-30 to the Entertainment District and park in the official lots.
🎟️ Game-day tips for Globe Life Field
Plan the drive and parking before anything else, then enjoy the fact that the retractable roof makes Texas summer heat a non-issue once you are inside.
- Roof closed, air conditioning on — Globe Life Field opened in 2020 with a retractable roof, and with the roof closed the interior is climate-controlled — the opposite of the old open-air ballpark across the street in a North Texas summer.
- Pregame at Texas Live! — Texas Live! sits immediately north of the ballpark in the Entertainment District and is the district's pregame and postgame hub for food and drinks — Lot B, near Texas Live!, is one of the most convenient lots for visitors eating before the game.
- Cashless, and check your bag — The venue is fully cashless, including parking. Bags must be soft-sided and within the size limit, and backpacks are banned except for single-compartment drawstring bags.
Bags: Bags and purses must be soft-sided and no larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches, and backpacks are prohibited except for single-compartment drawstring bags. Official policy.
