- The Hand-Turned Scoreboard — The center-field scoreboard is still changed by hand by a crew working inside it - one of the last of its kind in professional sports.
- The Red Marquee — The classic red marquee over the main entrance, reading 'Wrigley Field, Home of Chicago Cubs' - the park's signature photo spot.
- Harry Caray Statue — A statue outside the park honoring Harry Caray, the beloved broadcaster who made the seventh-inning stretch singalong a Wrigley institution.

🚆 Getting to Wrigley Field
Take the CTA Red Line to Addison — the ballpark is just a half block west of the station, and the Cubs themselves push fans toward public transit because parking in Wrigleyville is so limited.
CTA lists the Red Line's Addison stop as the closest access, a half block east of the park, with the Sheridan Red Line stop also a couple of blocks north. CTA buses #8 Halsted, #22 Clark and #152 Addison also serve the park, and CTA adds service around games, including more frequent #152 buses before and after games and special Purple Line Express stops at Sheridan on weekday game days.
Parking near the park is limited and the small Cubs lots, including the Toyota Camry Lot and Toyota RAV4 Lot, are primarily for season parking holders. For night and weekend games the Cubs run free remote parking with a free shuttle to the field, and other fans reserve private neighborhood parking in advance through SpotHero.
Rideshare pickup and drop-off is geo-fenced to spots around the park, including Addison Street between Broadway and Halsted and Irving Park Road between Clark Street and Seminary Avenue.
🛏️ Where to stay near Wrigley Field
Most visiting fans either stay right in Wrigleyville/Lakeview and walk to the game, or stay downtown in the Loop and ride the Red Line straight to Addison.
- Wrigleyville / Lakeview — The residential neighborhood immediately around the park, a short walk to the gates. It is Chicago's densest sports-bar scene on game days, lively and baseball-focused from April through October.
- Downtown / The Loop — A direct Red Line ride north to Addison, about 20 minutes by train. Best base for a first Chicago trip, with the city's main sights walkable and every 'L' line radiating from downtown.
- Lincoln Park — Just south of Lakeview along the lakefront, a short bus ride or longer walk to the park. Quieter and greener than Wrigleyville, with plenty of dining on Clark and Broadway.
🎟️ Game-day tips for Wrigley Field
Check your exact seat for a pole before you buy — Wrigley's century-old support columns are the one thing that can ruin an otherwise great seat.
- Watch for obstructed views — Steel support beams hold up the upper deck, and seats in the 200 Terrace and 400 Upper Reserved levels can have a pole directly in the sightline. Front rows of the Terrace level along the infield are the safer value pick.
- Do the bleachers and the icons once — The outfield bleachers sit in front of the ivy-covered walls and the hand-turned center-field scoreboard, largely unchanged since 1937, with the red marquee at Clark and Addison out front. The bleachers are general admission and fully exposed to the sun on day games.
- Shade is on the third-base side — Right field and the first-base side get the sun on day games, while the third-base and left-field side shade first. Back rows under the upper-deck overhang and roof are the other reliable shade at Wrigley.
Bags: Backpacks (including clear backpacks) and hard-sided coolers are not permitted, and other bags must be smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches. Official policy.
